SUMMERY OF THE BOOK I'VE READ

ENJOY YOUR LIFE
Hear i am to conclude the book {Enjoy your life } that i have read for  the last two weeks wich was about islamic religion especially our prophet peace be up on him .
The book was an exquisite collection of incidents from the life of our prophet (pbuh) . Stories from our islamic Heritage , and thought-provoking anecdotes from the life of the author .The aim of the book  is to train the readers to enjoy living his/her life by practicing various self -development and interpersonal skills.
What si so compelling and inspiring about this book is that , in order to highlight  the benifit of using social skills , the author draws from the lives of the prophet {pbuh} and his companions .
This book is both a practical systemic guide to self-improvement and a treasure trove of historical incidents . It increases self -awareness ,whilst returning the soul and strenghtening the spirit.
And finally after i read this book i found the best ways to enjoy life and simply it's about tpo follow our islamis religion and the examples that our prophet given to us in order to apply our lives .

ALL ABOUT RELATIONSHIP S

Not good at relationships ! don't know where to start !
relationships begin with you , becouse you are half of any relationship you join . So start with yourself ! Don't count on a relationship to "cure" a poor self -image . It won't work .But here are some measures that can :
. Make an inventory of your best , most attractive qualities and affirm them to yourself often .
. Avoid unrealistic standards and all-or -nothing thinking :"if i don't make an A on every test , i'm a total failure ".
. Challenge yourself ro accept and absorb compliments : A simple "thank-you " raises self-steem ; negations, such as , "you like this outfit? I think it makes me look dumpy ", lower self-esteem .
. Remmember that there are no guarantees . Making gains requires  taking risks . Seek out new experience and people ; then approach them with openness and curiosity . Each is an opportunity.
. Don't expect oevernight success . Close friendships and intimate love relationships both take time to develop.

An article about the book i've read ,,,,(Grief ..................... )

What is grief?
Grief is a natural , normal response to the loss of something  or someone we love . Although we often expect to grieve the death of a family member or friend , many other significant losses can also trigger grief.
Examples include
.The end of a relationship
.A move to a new community .
.A much-anti cipated opportunity or life goal wich is suddenly closed to us .
.The death of a pet .
.Some one we love contracts a potentially life-threatening illness.
Grieving is the process through wich a person comes to terms emotionally , spiritually , physically and  mentally with such loses . It's important  that we allow ourselves to grieve as this enables us to free-up energy that is bound to the lost person , object , or experience . This energy can be re -invested elsewhere . Untill we grieve effectively we are likely to find reinvesting difficult becouse a part of us remains tied to the past .
Grieveing is not forgetting . Healthy grieving results in an ability to remmember the importance of the loss with a new-found sense of peace rather than intense pain . Healthy grieving is an active process ; it is not true that ," you just need to give it time ".

Best way to cope Homesickness

What is the best way that we can cope our homesickness as a student ?
The fact is that , there is no single appraoch that is best for every one .How aver , there are several considerations wich can be helpful in dealing with homesickness .
Homesickness is a normal and common response that is experienced to some degree by the majority of students who live home for the first time . Home sickness is characterized by the discomforting feelings of missing family and friends , loneliness, self doupt , concentration problems and preoccupation with returning home.
Understanding why these feelings develop can be helpful in dealing with them . commonly , home is a place where on feels accepted and secure .
There are some basic strategies wich have proven effective in moderating the effectsof homesickness .
1. Remmember that hemosickness is a temporary for most students .
2. Give youself some time to adjust to your new surroundings .
3.Get involved with other students , classes , and student activities ,
4. Call or write home , but avoid getting into the habit of going home every holiday or weekend
5.Talk about your feelings a friend , peer helper or councelle

Adjusting to university life

Homesickness
For many students this will be the first time you have experienced living away from home for a sustained period and you may find yourself missing family and friends a lot . This is simply becouse you are naturally attached to familiar people and places . The problem can be complicated further for international students by the culture shock of living in a new country.
Home sickness often goes away naturally in the first weeks of term as you invest your attention and energy in the new challenges of your course and social life . The university environment can become familiar pretty quickly , wich tends to give a sense of calm and control .
Your home sickness may continue if you are struggling to find your niche , or if there are problems at home that you are worrying about . If  you still feel homesick after a few weeks, don't lose confidence that you can adjust to living independently from home . You may have difficult points , but this is part of the huge transition process that you are in .

Do not care about what people say

There is an old saying ''If people had the same taste, merchandise would be rendered futile.''
It is said Juha once mounted on his donkey while is son walked by his side . As they passed by a group of people , the people said "look at this inconsiderate father ! he rides the donkey in comfort while hi son is walking by him in the sun !"  Juha heard them stopped the donkey ,dismounted and let his son ride instead .
They continued on , and as juha felt better about himself ,they passed by another group of people .One of them said "look at this disobedient  son ! He rides while leaving his father to walk in the sun !" juha heard them , stopped his donkey and mounted it along with his son to save himself from people's criticism.
They  then passed  by a people who said ," look at these inconsiderate people !  they do not have a pity on the animal !'' juha then dismounted and said to his son ''Dear son , please descend ." the son discended and began to walk by hsi father's side .
They passed some people who said ,"look at these two folish people ! They are walking  whilst no one is riding the donkey ! Why was the donkey created if not to be mounted on ?''
Juha screamed , and dragged his son .They sat beneath the  donkey the donkey and lifted it up on their shoulders !
Conclusion
If i had been with him at the time , I would have said to him , " Dear beloved , do as you please do not care about what others have to say . Pleasing others is an unachievable objective ."
Generally speaking ,
A man is never with out opponent if if he lives alone on a mountain peak , Do not punish yourself.
Experiance
One of the predecessors said ," The one who subjects his religion to argumentation changes his opinions very often .

Malaysian wedding cermony .........

It was very interseting and very important  to participate and take part malaysian wedding cermony for me and for all the AIU students as a foriegners to know some thing about the culture, costume and even the marriage of the country that we live in and the society that we stay in them .
marriage in malaysia is different than many other countries including my country  for several points like the way they arrange and orgnize the cermony  the way they  preparethe special  food and even the way they welcome their guests .
the only and  the most important point i feel was how the neighbours help each other in this sitution and how much they are kind to each other , i enjoyed the party, the food , the celebration and even meeting with new couples .
It was very good experiance for me to know about malaysian marriage and celebrations of  both families .

How can you increase your self-accceptance

Self-acceptance,  we discuss about this topic in our weekly peer buddy meeting today 02 June 2011, it was very interesting and benifitable for us as a student and as a peer buddy memebr to evaluate our selves before we help others .
how can you increase your self acceptance was very difficult question first but after long disscussion we understand some thing  about it  and even some thing has changed our lives at the same momment .
before we answered this question we disscusssed some other questions which were introduction our topic and they were like this   How important is this to me ?
What are my true feelings about this?
Am i able to change my point of view?
Am i able to change my behaviour or feelings about this?
There are no right or wrong answers to any of these questios when discussing your self and your feelings .It's more important to get a true picture of youe self than to worry about what others might think or what's good or bad . You want to know your own  strengths , weaknesses , values , skills , abilities , and interests .
at the same we did some quizes in our meeting to find more details about this, the first quiz was about self concept and the main objective  was to understand your self better .
aware of your weaknesses and  strengths.
help your self to be true .
the socond was about self assessment activity and the main purpose was acknowledge your good points .
and finally we decided to meet our next session in more details inha allah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Short story........THE SALTY COFFEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He met her at a party. She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after her, while he was so normal, nobody paid attention to him.
At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised but due to being polite, she promised. They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, and she thought to herself, "Please, let me go home..."
Suddenly he asked the waiter, "Would you please give me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee." Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it. She asked him curiously, "Why you have this hobby?" He replied, "When I was a little boy, I lived near the sea, I liked playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea, just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who are still living there." While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched. That's his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has responsibility of home... Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family.
That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story. They continued to date. She found that actually he was a man who meets all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was such a good person but she almost missed him! Thanks to his salty coffee! Then the story was just like every beautiful love story, the princess married to the prince, and then they were living the happy life... And, every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee, as she knew that's the way he liked it.
After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said, "My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole life's lie. This was the only lie I said to you---the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt. It was hard for me to change so I just went ahead. I never thought that could be the start of our communication! I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too afraid to do that, as I have promised not to lie to you for anything... Now I'm dying, I afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth, I don't like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste... But I have had the salty coffee for my whole life! Since I knew you, I never feel sorry for anything I do for you. Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life. If I can live for the second time, still want to know you and have you for my whole life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again."
Her tears made the letter totally wet. Someday, someone asked her, "What's the taste of salty coffee?" She replied, "It's sweet."

three things i loathe studying abroad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Education and knowledge changed our  world from illiteracy to literacy and also helped us to improve our familiarity with a different aspects of knowledge and the same time there is an increase and development of day after another , to have a knowledge is very important and essential even if it can lead  us to travel abroud countries to find it .
i am one of those people who had already travelled to find better education ,but after i experianced a couple of months i realize that there is some difficults and obstacles when you are studying or living abroad ,and here i display my top three gripes.
firstly the most difficult on is the language ,its not easy to study simply a language that you never heard before even  a single word and at the sam time you need it very much to speak very quickly as soon as you arrive to speak and communicate the locals properly when you are buying the super markets ,eating the puplic places ,studying ,and even greeting the people ant thats why you need their language .
secondly after you arrive abroad country it's sure that you will miss your country and close friends ,becouse every one can feel the situation where ther is no close relationship .
lastly it's very difficult to adapt and conform the new social live including  food , clothing , communicating ,  you can imagine the result when you eat a food that you  haven't eaten before at least you may have stomach up set .
unfortunately these problems are unlikely to go away ,you just need to do your best and try to adapy every thing ,you don't need to give easily becouse its only specific time you may go back your lovely home toen after you finish  your studies ...................

My favourite interesting movie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slum dog millionaire is one of the most famous and exciting movies in the Bollywood, this movie is nasty, gritty and very realistic depiction of the slums, but in the end it proves to be uplifting, heartwarming and inspirational fairy tale and love story!!!!!!!!!!!!
The story of the movie is about an 18 year old orphan from the slums of Mumbai called Jamal, his brother Salem and a young orphan girl called Latika that Jamal invited in to a shelter from the rain when they were very young. Slum dog millionaire takes place in three stages, the first section shows the three main characters as children, the second section shows them as adolescents and the third section shows them as adults.
Actually the movie starts a moment that Jamal is about to experience the biggest day of his life with the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees in the Indian famous show who wants to be a millionaire but when the show breaks for the night ,police arrest him on suspicion of cheating how could a someone like Jamal, a self-confessed non genius who grew up in the slums of Mumbai can be doing so well on the show when others who are brighter more educated and wealthier than him have failed ,desperate to prove his innocence Jamal tells the story of his life in the slum where he and his brother grew up ,of their adventures together on the road ,of his vicious encounters with local gangs and of Latika the girl he loved and lost.
The police inspector shows a videotape and after each question Jamal tells parts of his childhood with his brother Salem and his girlfriend Latika. He tells about his crush for Latika and their fight to survive on the streets to justify each correct answer guided by his common sense and past experience and prove his innocence.
In slum dog there are bullies. The bullies in this movie made one violent appearance; they are Hindu extremists who attacked the Muslims in the Mumbai slum. Their mother is killed by the extremists and it makes them orphans.
One of the strange situations of this movie is each chapter of Jamal’s story reveals the key to the answer to one of the game shows questions. Each chapter of Jamal’s increasingly layered story reveals where he learned the answers to the shows seemingly impossible quizzes.
In the movie there are two funny scenes. The first one is a time when one of the young boys gets trapped in a toilet and gets out in the worst way possible all because he wants an autograph from one of the most famous Bollywood stars in India, and the second one is the funniest scene which revolve around the boys as they act as phony tour guides to the ‘Taj Mahal and They appear to have the time of their lives stealing shoes and telling phony stories about the old tombs .
My opinion
This movie is about our past experiences and how it can influence our present or future events, as well we can understand in the movie that every situation in your past either good or bad will help you in the future when you see in the same thing and make you to afford to explain easily like Jamal .As well we can understand the movie how to stand or survive every hard situation like love, poverty, orphanage ,illiteracy, quizzes, brotherhood, partnership and etc..............................

About my country !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somaliland is situated in the Horn of Africa . It lies between the 08°00' - 11°30' parallel north of the equator and between 42°30' - 49°00' meridian  east of Greenwich. Somaliland is bordered by Eithopia  in the south and west, Djibouti  in the northwest, the Gulf of Aden  in the north, and the autonomous Puntland  region of Somalia to the east.
Somaliland has a 740 kilometres (460 mi) coastline with the majority lying along the Gulf of Aden . The region is slightly larger than England, with an area of 137,600 km2 (53,128 sq mi).
Somaliland's climate is a mixture of wet and dry conditions. The northern part of the region is hilly, and in many places the altitude ranges between 900 and 2,100 metres (2,953 and 6,890 ft) above sea level. The Awdal, Saaxil and Maroodi jeex  (formerly known as Woqooyi Galbeed, as shown on the accompanying map) regions are fertile and mountainous, while Togdheer is mostly semi-desert with little fertile greenery around. The Awdal region is also known for its offshore islands, coral reefs  and mangroves.
Extreme recorded temperatures range from −3.3 °C (26 °F) at Ceerigaabo to 47.7 °C (117.9 °F) at Berbera. The combination of a yearly average temperature of 31 °C (87.8 °F) and the high level of humidity makes Berbera one of the hottest cities in the world.
With few exceptions, Somalilanders are entirely Muslims , the majority belonging to the Sinni  branch of Islam. Though traces of pre-Islamic traditional religion exist in Somaliland, Islam is extremely important to the Somali sense of national identity. Many of the Somali social norms come from their religion. For example, men shake hands only with men, and women shake hands only with women. Many Somali women wear a hijab  when they are in public. In addition, Somalis abstain from pork, gambling , and alcohol , and receiving or paying any form of interest. Muslims generally congregate on Friday afternoons for a sermon and group prayer.
Under the Constitution of somaliland , Islam is the state religion  of Somaliland, and no laws may violate the principles of Sharia . The promotion of any religion other than Islam is illegal, and the state promotes Islamic tenets and discourages behavior contrary to Islamic morals.
Islam and poetry  have been described as the twin pillars of Somali culture. Somali poetry is mainly oral, with both male and female poets. They use things that are common in Somalia as metaphors. Most Somalis are Suni Muslims  and Islam is vitally important to the Somali sense of national identity . Most Somalis do not belong to a specific mosque  or sect and can pray in any mosque they find.
Celebrations come in the form of religious festivities, two of the most important being Eidul-adha  and Eidul-fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month. Families get dressed up to visit one another, and money is donated to the poor. Other holidays include 26 June and 18 May, which celebrate Somaliland's independence from Britain and Somalia respectively; the latter, however, is not recognised by the international community.....................

Africa's newest country (south sudan ) Vs Somaliland !!!! ...... ,,,,, ???

Somaliland has world-standard, modern and democratic nation. It's hosted free and fair elections, it has army that obeys international military regulations, police with excellent human rights record, currency that is circulated in many parts of East Africa,  flag that flies in many countries, national anthem,  finally it has elected parliament and government.
In 2010, the Somaliland opposition won presidential election and there was peaceful, civilized and democratic power transfer, unlike many African countries where dictators hang on the power like Ivory Coast and Kenya. Today’s Opposition Leader and Former President Dahir Riyale Kahn handed over the leadership to the Former Opposition Leader and today’s President Mohamed Ahmed Siilanyo – The power-transfer ceremony was rare seen in Africa.
In contradiction, AU is waving conditions in accepting Somaliland as independent nation, which has a defined territory with bounders and inherited from the former British Somaliland, Somaliland has permanent population of 3.5 million. It controls its territory, it has bilateral diplomatic and security relations with neighboring countries, Somaliland Passport is being used in Ethiopia, Kenya and Djibouti. Somaliland President uses local passport while traveling to Europe and USA.

In brief, Somaliland was an independent nation for five days before the disastrous unity with Italian Somalia on 1st July 1960. Somaliland had designated Prime Minister and Cabinet before the unity. The crawling unity continued until 18th May 1991, at the rebirth of Somaliland.
After 50 years, AU is not considering the freedom voice from Somaliland while it is offering unconditionally support to the new state in Southern Sudan that has no colonial border and defined population, which conflicts with African Union´s charter on the territorial integrity.

Both people of Somaliland and Southern Sudan suffered under brutal and merciless regimes for decades, both people faced discrimination on different bases, thousands of both people were murdered in addition to genocide and ethnic-cleansing by the regimes in Mogadishu and Khartoum.
Somaliland and Southern Sudan emerged after years of freedom armed struggle, they forced the occupying regimes to leave or negotiate peacefully. In Somaliland, regime was overthrown by force and Southern Sudanese forced Al-Bashir regime to negotiate and accept their demands.
African states, we point out. Recognition will not "open Pandora's box in Africa". Neither will it set a precedent that has been done already in East Timor and Kosovo. "The international Somaliland has more territory and a bigger population than at least a dozen other community is focused on Somalia, it is okay. We are saying, 'Keep doing what you're doing in Mogadishu, but for goodness sake help those who help themselves: Somaliland'."
finally .......
                                                                             Congratulations to the Southern Sudanese....
The African Union (AU) Observers have certified South Sudan’s secession vote "free, fair, credible and a true reflection of the democratically-expressed will of the South Sudanese voters." In its preliminary statement on the conduct of the vote, which could lead to the creation of Africa’s newest country and pave the way for the independence of Somaliland!!!!!!!!

Somaliland 'yearns for international recognition' by the  help of only allah .

Declaration of independence day of somaliland 18 may

In January 1991 , the mohamed siad bare government of somalia collapsed and th SNM took  power in the north ,as the struggle for power in southern somalia degenerated rapidly in to civil war , the SNM leadership abandoned  hopes that an acceptable government  could be established in mogadishu and withdrew its forces from the battle for the capital .in april1991,the SNM convened a peace conference of the northern clans of burao.
Almost simultaneously the unilateral declaration of a new government in mogadishu persuaded somalilanders that a just an equitable political settlement was no longer possible .popular protests through out somaliland and mounting public anger left the delegates at the burao conference no choice  on 18 may 1991 they declared the dissolution of 1960 union and the restoration of somaliland   as a sovereign state .
evidence of war crimes has been documented by the US department of state amnesty international and Africa watch .the committee of the investigation of war crimes ,established in 1995 , has since identified dozens of mass burial sites containing thousands of victims, compiled  hundreds of hours witness testimony and identified over 200 individuals with alleged responsibility for the atrocity .

18 May National day of somaliland

18th May of every year is a happy day for me, for all citizens of Somaliland. A day of mixed feelings, celebrations mostly Hargeisa the capital city of my country, with deep pleasure through all the  towns of Somaliland. I can say a great day, the 20th celebrations of the Somaliland independence day.
Each and every year on the 18th may, we the people of Somaliland remember and we will always remember the mothers and fathers who laid down their lives for peace and progress of this honorable nation. We always remember these fallen heroes and heroines because of their loyal contribution.

Anniversaries are not supposed to be fashion shows or just happy moments, but a chance to reflect about whom we are and who we want be.
                                                                                                                                    to be continued......

AIU room competition 2011

Last Friday was the finale and the price giving of the winners of AIU Room Competition 2011. The competition was about the cleanliness, creativity, decoration, designs and the tidiness of each of the rooms, between male and  female hostel .
There were only three rooms which stood the highest third positions of this competition- two of them were female rooms while the third one was a male room which is my room.
The competition was not easy as it needed creativeness, hardworking and time to make the room becomes nice and attractive.
We spent a lot of time and money to be one of the winners and it was such a difficult work but then, finally we did it . It was also our first trial about cleanliness competition and we had done our best to achieve the price.
